She was initially interested in make a career out of being a dancer. Bruckner who was eight years old, began her career as a child model and was a contestant in a beauty pageant. She was a resident of Los Angeles until age five before moving to Portland, Oregon until age ten. Her family returned to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, moving to Burbank, California. She started her career as a series regular on the daytime drama The Bold and The Beautiful. A year later she made her feature debut in the action drama The Shrunken City (1998). After appearing in popular TV shows such as Touched By And Angel, The Fugitive and Alias, the young beauty set her heights on the screen with feature films. In 2001 she was cast in The Glass House as a thriller star and as a character in Murder By Numbers in 2002. Bruckner was also part of the 2003 Sundance breakaway hit Blue Car.
